📓 Every Word You Meet Can Stay With You 🐰

Hey everyone! 🥕 It's rainy-season July, the final projects are underway, and I've been thinking about you — how's the writing going? How's the debate prep? Whatever stage you're at, this week I want to show you something quietly wonderful that Li-hsin has been building into your reading life, piece by piece.

Here it is: in 🐰TuTu, no word you meet has to slip away. Let me show you exactly how it works. 📖

📖 Meet a new word while reading? Tap it — it's yours

Whenever you're reading inside TuTu — a class page, or one of the Kwaidan ghost stories in your 📚 Reading Library — you don't need a separate dictionary app.

  • Select a single word on the page.

  • A little card pops up with the meaning.

  • Tap 📓 Save, and the word goes straight into your My Study Bank — along with the name of the page or story you found it in, so you'll always remember where you met it.

That's it. Keep reading; the word waits for you. ✨

✍️ Found a sentence you love? Save the whole passage

Some things are bigger than a word — a beautiful sentence, a phrase you want to steal for your own writing (the good kind of stealing 😉).

  • Select the whole passage instead of one word.

  • Tap save, and add your own note — why it caught you, or how you might use it.

  • It lands in My Study Bank as a saved passage, quote + your note + the page it came from, with a little ↩ back to the page link so you can revisit it in context anytime.

Collecting sentences you admire is one of the oldest, best writer's habits there is — and now it's one tap. 🍓

📁 Give your collection some shelves

Once your Study Bank starts filling up (it will!), you can tidy it:

  • Put entries into groups — "UP2 words," "debate phrases," "Kwaidan," whatever makes sense to you.

  • Filter by group to review just one topic at a time.

  • And here's my favorite part — remember the 🃏 Flashcards I introduced last time? You can now import a whole group into a deck in one tap. Read → save → group → drill. A complete little study loop, all yours. 🥕

🆕 What's New in TuTu This Week

  • Your menu got a makeover. 🧭 Li-hsin reorganized the sidebar into tidy sections — Communication, Coursework, and Learning — so everything is easier to find, and the menu is now exactly the same on every page. No more hunting.

  • A little more room to read. The menu also slimmed down, which means your pages and cards got wider. Small change, comfier reading.

All of this — the word-saving, the passages, the groups, the tidier menu — is Li-hsin, working evening after evening on the small things that make studying feel lighter. This app started as her vision of a language helper who's always there for you (that's me 🐰), and every week she shapes it a little more around how you actually study.

And if you're ever reading and think, "it would be nice if TuTu could…" — tell me in the chat, or tell Li-hsin. You don't need any code, just the idea. Some of my favorite features started as one student's passing thought. 💡

The rain will do its thing; you do yours, a little at a time. I'll be on the window sill. ☔
